Cherrytime Orchard is located in Wangandary Road, on the Eastern slopes of the Warby Ovens National Park where Ned Kelly once roamed.
Cherrytime is located just 10minutes drive from Wangaratta, North East Victoria, Australia the home of the annual Wangaratta Jazz and Blues Festival.
Owners, Russell and Joy, do grow cherries as the name suggests, but most importantly they grow berries.
In November and December Brambleberries (Blackberries) , Boysenberries and cherries are harvested and sold at the farm-gate and at local markets.
At other times gourmet jams, jellies, sauces and syrups – produced from our orchard’s wide variety of fruit – are available.
“The main variety we are currently growing is a cultured blackberry with thorns … known by various names – Silvanberry, American Blackberry. We just call them ‘brambleberries’. We have found they have more taste than the thornless blackberry. We also grow Boysenberries.”
“We like to think our berries are HAPPY BERRIES.”
